I walked into a store this week and was not ready for the Halloween decorations and back-to-school displays. Every single year I ask myself how summer flew by so fast — and every single year I'm somehow still surprised. 😅

We're in full "frantically soaking up summer" mode over here. The second the smoke clears, you can bet we'll be outside somewhere. Until then, we're keeping a close eye on the AQI and pivoting to indoor activities as needed. Quick tip: Before heading out this weekend, check event pages for cancellations — smoke can affect outdoor events last minute.

Speaking of back-to-school, quick reminder for preschool families: Willamalane's Tiny Ducks Preschool opens enrollment for 2026-27 on August 12 at 8am. If you've been on the fence, now is the time to take a tour! The newly renovated space is beautiful, the staff are incredible, and it is one of the most affordable options in the area.
