Hi Friends! 👋

We're in that in-between season — many summer programs are wrapping up and fall hasn't quite kicked in yet. But here's the silver lining: the farmers market is absolutely at its peak right now. The variety and selection are incredible, and everything is at its most nutritious. My kids and I are completely obsessed with figs and tomatoes at the moment, and somehow this is the only time of year I actually crave a simple salad — high-quality greens, a ripe tomato, and a good dressing. That's it. Peak summer perfection. 🍅

If you have SNAP benefits, the Double Up Food Bucks program at the farmers market is a game-changer. It matches up to $20 per day in EBT spending on fruits and vegetables, mushrooms, dried beans, fresh herbs, and veggie starts. Those specialty berries that felt out of reach? Now they're accessible. Just bring your SNAP card and stop by the market information booth to get your tokens before shopping. 💛

📣 Quick note on pool listings: Pool hours change so frequently that we've moved them out of the daily section and into our "Always on the Table" section below. If you relied heavily on those specific listings, let me know and I'm happy to add them back!

Here are the highlights for the week:

Every headline satisfies an opinion. Except ours.
